We are seeking to appoint a passionate and highly effective Head of Maths to start as soon as possible. You will work within our team of staff providing education for vulnerable young people within the East Riding of Yorkshire and strategically lead our Maths department through an exciting period of change.

This role also involves becoming a member of the Extended Leadership Team and leading the strategic development of whole-school assessment across our provision.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Senior Leadership Team.  This will include teaching different groups of students and co-ordinating the curriculum and pastoral care arrangements.  You will have a proven track record of exceptional practice across key curriculum areas, with recent experience across Key Stage 3 and 4.  You will provide effective leadership, curriculum development and be responsible for improving outcomes in Mathematics.

The successful candidate will have opportunity to contribute to the Vision and Values of The Hub School as a member of the Extended Leadership Team.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of Head of Maths.  This will include teaching different groups of students and co-ordinating the curriculum and pastoral care arrangements.  You will have a proven track record of exceptional practice across a key curriculum area with recent experience across at least two Key Stages. Experience within this type of provision is preferred but is not essential as training will be provided through our comprehensive professional development programme.

Learning Mentor

Grade 6 £21,748 (Permanent Term-time only + 5 days) 37 hours

We require an experienced Learning Mentor to support students who are placed on alternative learning programmes at local colleges and training providers within the East Riding.

You will have:

  • A good standard of education including GCSE or equivalent Grade English and Maths
  • Experience of working with 14 to 16 year olds with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • The ability to relate effectively to students, their parents/carers and professionals working with them
  • Your own transport to enable you to visit the students on placements which may be spread throughout the county

Permanent 35 hours 8am – 3.30pm Monday - Friday term time only + 5 days. 

Salary:  Grade 5, £19,698 pro-rata

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and highly effective Cover Supervisor to work within our team of staff providing for vulnerable young people within the East Riding of Yorkshire.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of our Directors of Learning.  This will include coordinating the cover for absent staff, covering lessons due to staff absence and supporting teaching across the school.  You will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with high aspirations for all young people and model excellent professional standards.  Experience within this type of provision is preferred but is not essential as training will be provided.
